Individual
Therapy

I offer individual therapeutic services working with most populations and disorders. Please see my about me page for more information and a list of commonly worked on issues. I work from a constructivism theoretical orientation and tailor therapy to the individual needs. I am able to work with many individuals through Telehealth or in person.

Constructivism is an approach to life that derives from ancient wisdom traditions, and it reflects the lessons of continuing scholarship and science. The goals of constructive therapy are to help you better to understand and appreciate yourself and others, to help you to develop skills in solving problems and coping with challenges in your life, and to encourage your efforts to develop in directions that you find fulfilling and meaningful. It is constructive because it emphasizes your strengths and abilities. Challenges in your life repeatedly ask you to exercise and refine your abilities. These challenges emphasize the importance of your choices and actions, particularly in those periods of your life when you may see only limited or distressing options. I will do my best to understand and honor your distress. I may also suggest things that you might do.

I do not take insurance currently but do offer a sliding scale. I match current rates in the area for even master level practitioners (i.e., roughly $150) and offer payment plan options as needed. In addition, when discussing booking our first appointment, I will not charge you for this initial evaluation to see if we would be a good fit to work together. We will discuss your goals, I will provide some basic psycho-education, and will send you paperwork to have filled out for when we do meet. Please see the Contact page for more information on how to request an appointment directly.
